Arundel Design Build History

The story of Arundel Design Build began over 3 decades ago.  After twenty years of construction engineering throughout the US and Brazil, the founder forged a new path. Drawing on the wealth of knowledge and expertise in engineering and design, a company was formed to add construction of commercial projects to the existing business.   Drijam Enterprises, was started in June of 2004 to construct projects both designed by Drijam or designed by others.  The concentration of projects began in South Florida and grew across the southeast United States.  High profile  projects included work for the Catholic Diocese at St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Palm Beach and the historic renovations of the Strand Hotel condos in Miami Beach.  Additional projects included bars, restaurants and multi family housing for the West Palm Beach Housing Authority.

In 2008 Drijam relocated to Dallas, Texas and became Emerald Building Services.  Emerald continued designing and building commercial projects including restaurants, sports facilities, retail and medical facilities.  The work included both ground up and tenant improvements.  Emerald, in partnership with Arundel Construction began self performing concrete, sitework and utilities in 2014.  After 2 years  of partnership, Emerald acquired Arundel Construction and assumed the Arundel name with design added to better describe the company’s capabilities.  Management chose to separate the utility, sitework and concrete services and and Darkhorse Utility, Concrete and Sitework was created to not only provide these services to Arundel but other general contractors and municipalities as well.  To better manage the growing staple of companies and services the parent company; Arundel Group Holdings, LLC. was formed.

 Arundel Design Build partners with Ellis and Levine Engineering, LLC another Arundel Group Company to provide the in-house enginerering snd design capabilities.   Arundel Design Build has continued to build and design the most complex projects.  In 2020 Arundel has added self development as well as development partnerships in healthcare real estate. In this sector Arundel will provide site selection, zoning, site planning and land purchase services in addition to providing top tier medical practice consulting services through another Arundel company,  Top Healthcare Strategies.
